Meet Joel Amani Mafigi
Amani Joel Mafigi is a Congolese Social Entrepreneur, speaker and certified Business Development Trainer.
Amani actively champions SDG 4,8,17 and youth voices on global stages through dialogues and meaningful engagements with local and global leaders. His work bridges grassroots realities from marginalised communities to international platforms, ensuring youth perspectives are heard, and integrated in decision-making processes.
In 2018, he co-founded UNLEASHED (Potentials in Motion), a youth-lead organisation that empowers youth from refugee and marginalised communities in Leadership, Potential Discovery, Business Development, and Social Entrepreneurship to enable young people create social enterprises that solve pressing challenges in their communities while creating decent jobs.
Amani has spoken and amplified youth voice on various platforms including, HeForShe Men’s Conference, Youth SDG Summit, The Migration Summit by MITReact, Copperbelt University School of Medicine Summit, Peter Drucker Summit, the Decent jobs for youth conference, ECOSOC Youth Forum, 2024& 2025 and The Summit of the Future 2024.
He has also served as a member of the UN Youth Reference Group and a representative of the Reference group at the Global Youth Investment Platform Task Force and at the Working Group level in 2024’ and 2025’.
